Posted by Nick Franklin on

Here we go! Lesson 9 in the “WHAT IS IN MY FLY BOX” series just dropped! After a number for requests for a crab pattern…it is finally here! This fly imitates a fiddler crab or any small crab scooting across the bottom. Works great in all water conditions and only takes a few simple steps to tie.

Materials Needed:

Thread: Brown 210 Flat Wax Nylon

Hook: Gama SC15 1/0

Tail: Mag Zonker Strip

Flash: ICE DUB in Peacock or black

Collar: .50 Wooly Critter Brush

Body: Foxy Brush

Weedguard: 20lb Titanium Wire

Thanks so much for checking out this tutorial. Be sure to stay up to date with the Marabou Brothers instagram account so you don’t miss out on Lesson #10 coming soon!

Tight lines and happy fly tying!
