Lesson 12 - “What is in my fly box” with Jesse Males

Posted by Nick Franklin on

Well, here we go…the LAST lesson in the fly box series has arrived! In this series we have tied some of my favorite inshore saltwater fly patterns and shown you exactly the steps needed to tie them on your own! This next fly is a bit more complex and provides the angler with a great pattern for multiple fish species and applications. I call it, the Fat Head Floating Minnow.

Materials Needed:

Thread: Chartreuse 210 Flat Wax Nylon

Hook: 1/0 SC15

Tail: White Craft Fur

Flash: Ice Dub

Collar: Gey Wire Free Synthetic Foxy Brush

Head: White 2mm Foam

Eyes: Yellow Holographic

Thanks so much for watching this tutorial and following along with the series. Be sure to stay up to date with the Marabou Brothers' Instagram account so you don’t miss out on future projects coming soon!

Tight lines and happy fly tying!
