Well, here we are with lesson number two of a twelve part series showcasing some of my favorite inshore saltwater fly patterns and how to tie them step-by-step! This next fly is a simple pattern using hackle feathers to generate a fly that is perfect for sight casting spooky redfish on the gulf coast.

Materials Needed:

Thread: Wine Colored 210 Flat Wax Nylon

Hook: Mustad 007

Tail: Purple Hackle Feather

Body: Purple SM Cactus Chenille

Body: Dark Purple Hackle Feather

Weight: Tungsten Bead of your choice

Flash: Orange and Black Krystal Flash

Thanks so much for watching this tutorial. Be sure to stay up to date with the Marabou Brothers instagram account so you don’t miss out on Lesson #3 coming soon!

Tight lines and happy fly tying!
